Fisker Automotive to launch first franchise outlet in Penske Automotive Group’s Scottsdale, Arizona showroom.

Scottsdale, AZ – June 12, 2012: Fisker Automotive, the leading manufacturer of luxury Electric Vehicles with extended range, is joining forces with Penske Automotive Group, a leading international auto retailer, to market and service Fisker cars in Arizona and the surrounding region.

Audi Diesel Market Still Growing

Scottsdale, AZ, June 2, 2012 – Audi recently reported that diesel auto sales have continued to trend higher than last year in the United States during the first quarter of 2012. In fact, According to information posted by Baum and Associates, diesel auto sales are up over last year across the board in the United States. During the first three months of the year, diesel auto sales rose 35% over last year.

“It is no surprise that diesel sales are rising,” says Audi North Scottsdale General Manager, Mark Reicks. “Diesel options are growing each year, and driver loyalty is playing a big part in their continued success.”

In fact, diesel popularity has been on the rise for the last couple years. Many auto makers like Audi are promoting clean diesel models like the Audi TDI line. Diesel vehicles seem to be a smart choice to consumers thanks to better fuel efficiency and improved clean technology, Consumer loyalty for diesel vehicles is also on the rise as many diesel drivers are opting to stick with diesel vehicles following their first purchase.

Baum and Associates show that diesel auto sales rose 21% over last year in January, were up 43% in February, and ended up 40% in March over 2011. Many speculate that the trend is due in part to increased consumer consciousness and environmental awareness, and to better fuel efficiency than their gasoline counterparts.

According to Consumer Reports, the national price of gasoline was at $3.75 per gallon in the middle of May and was as high as $4.26 along the west coast. The average price for diesel fuel nationally was $4.00 per gallon.

Audi Offers Glimpse into Future New Models

North Scottsdale, AZ, June 2, 2012 – Audi North Scottsdale recently shared a sneak peek of the newest Audi model that could be headed for their showroom in 2015. According to a recent social media post, Audi North Scottsdale suggests to local fans that the global brand might be introducing new models like the Q8.

“We are excited for what future models will bring,” says Audi North Scottsdale General Manager, Mark Reicks. “Audi is constantly seeking innovative new designs that will provide Audi drivers with uncompromising quality and performance.”

The speculation is due to the fact that Audi recently trademarked a series of new names including the “Q8”. This would most likely be an SUV vehicle related to the currently popular Q7.

According to the British magazine CAR, the new Q8 is being developed on the new MLB platform and should be lighter and more efficient. New Q7 models will benefit from Q8 design and technology shifts as well. The Audi Q8 is expected to utilize current Audi Q7 engines – V6 models with 230 and 300hp, a TDI diesel option, and a 4.2 V8 engine.

Audi Wins Honor of Best Luxury Brand

North Scottsdale, Arizona June 2, 2012 – Audi North Scottsdale is proud to announce that Audi has been awarded the title of “Best Overall Luxury Brand” in the 2012 Total Cost of Ownership Awards presented by Kelly Blue Book. In the inaugural year for the Total Cost of Ownership Awards, Audi won three categories, and beat out all other luxury automotive brands for the highest honor of “Best Overall Luxury Brand”.

The Total Cost of Ownership Awards is a new set of awards given by Kelly Blue Book (KBB), an esteemed third-party automotive market analysis service that provides objective market values for vehicles. The “Best Overall Luxury Brand” was awarded based on the lowest projected total cost of ownership during the first five years.

To determine the value, KBB takes into account ownership expenses including depreciation values, average registration fees, estimated fuel costs, insurance costs, and general maintenance and repair costs that can be expected during the initial five year period. The ultimate residual value was then compared to the average residual value across a panel of luxury brands. Audi beat out all the other luxury brands for total cost of ownership, including those that offered free maintenance and service during the initial five year ownership period.

Third party services provide the valuation data for Kelly Blue Book. Total cost of ownership values are available on many different makes and models and can be accessed on the Kelly Blue Book website. Visitors to the website can access charts and graphs to better understand cost breakdowns and view comparisons over an initial 5 year ownership period, providing objective insight into the true cost of a vehicle.
