Falling in Love With the Audi A4

The 2011 Audi A4 is a car that brings German luxury within reach.  And it’s easy to see why.  Looking under the hood at the A4’s turbocharged powerplant, you’ll see that performance and fuel efficiency need not be mutually exclusive.  Named as one of Ward’s Top 10 Engines for the fifth year in a row, the 2.0L motor sips fuel at up to 31MPG highway while returning sub-7 second 0-60 times.  Three different transmissions are available to suit your preference and driving style – a fully manual 6 speed, an 8-speed automatic, or a continuously variable Multitronic transmission.

Bred for the Autobahn, handling is taut and responsive - especially when equipped with the optional sports package.  Available all wheel drive truly makes the A4 an all season sports sedan.  Performance does not come at the sake of safety, however.  All A4’s are equipped with the latest in safety technology, including stability control, brake assist for the shortest possible stopping power, and airbags for all passengers in the event a collision is unavoidable.

When you’re not being entertained by the mechanical pieces, the A4’s interior proves to be a relaxing environment to be in.  All passengers are treated to leather seating surfaces, and automatic climate control makes finding the perfect temperature a set-it-and-forget-it affair.  An available Bang and Olufsen 14 speaker sound system with iPod integration means you can listen to your favorite tunes in astonishing clarity.  In-car Bluetooth with voice control means never taking your eyes off the road for a second, yet always being accessible.

Since you’re investing in a premium car, you’ll find the A4 constructed to premium standards.  Lightweight, yet strong, mechanical components contribute to the confident feel of the A4 as you’re piloting it down the road.  Inside you’re treated to an interior that is finished to such exacting standards that if the gap in the wood inlays exceeds .2mm, the piece is rejected.  This kind of attention to detail gives you confidence that the A4 makes sense as a long-term investment.  Best of all, if you want to ensure that your car is unique, Audi’s Exclusive program lets you personalize your car the way you want.  Plus, with Audi’s European Delivery program, you can meet you car when it comes off the assembly line, then enjoy exploring Europe and your new car before shipping it home.

All of this adds up to the roomiest, most economical, and highest performing car in its class.  And because we want this to be as worry-free as possible, all of this is backed up with a 4 year/50k mile warranty.

As impressive as this sounds, the real test is by you on the road.  We invite you to come by Audi North Scottsdale or Penske Auto Mall for your own personal examination, and see for yourself what an outstanding value the A4 is.

Audi R8 Exceeds Expectations in the Exotic Supercar Class

The Audi R8 has created a change in the Exotic Supercar class and challenges its Italian rivals in both price and performance.  This year, Audi adds to its 4.2 and 5.2liter R8 coupes and provides a 5.2 liter V10 convertible Spyder model.  Transform from top up to top down in just 19 seconds, and the top can be operated at speeds up to 31 miles per hour, making it a breeze to transform.  The V10 launches from 0-60mph in a mere 3.7 seconds and produces an amazing 525 hp and 391 ft-lbs of torque, while the V8 4.2 liter options travel from 0-60 in 4.4 seconds and produce 420 hp and 317 ft-lbs of torque.

The R8’s revolutionary all-aluminum Space Frame technology provides the ultimate in lightweight rigidity, and houses the high performing mid-engine.  Audi’s magnetic ride suspension system offers the driver the ability to have variability in the R8’s driving dynamics, switching from “normal” and “sport” suspension modes.

Externally, there is nothing like the impressive body styling of the Audi R8.  Its recognizable sideblades and optional carbon fiber trims produce a look that is unable to be imitated.  The R8’s distinctive LED headlights and taillights set off the aggressive overtones of its exotic design.  An automatically extending rear spoiler with standard operation option, aluminum fuel door and door sills, and standard 19” wheels grip the road and help to complete a package that of which Lamborghinis and Ferraris are forced to take notice.

Inside the R8 additional premium hand-stitched leather and precision overlays are applicable, and optional park-assist features with rearview cameras are also available, along with power-folding mirrors and navigation.  Prices for the new R8 Spyder start at $161,000, while the R8 coupe begins at $114,200.

Safety is a priority on the R8 and R8 Spyder, and 3-point seatbelts with belt tensioners and force limiters are paired with dual front airbags, seat-mounted side impact head and chest airbags, and dual front knee airbags.  The R8’s emergency crash sensor automatically cuts off fuel supply, disconnects the vehicle’s battery and unlocks the doors.

The Audi R8’s styling and outstanding mid-engine performance is a force to be reckoned with, and one that is sure to keep the performance enthusiasts behind the wheel.  Its supercar handling and unbeatable looks are sure to turn heads both inside and outside of the car.  Schedule an appointment with an Audi Chandler sales representative today and come experience the magnitude of the Audi R8.

Audi Q7: Say Goodbye the Mini-Van and Hello to Family Luxury and Safety

I once made the statement that I would NEVER drive a mini-van, and with options like the Audi Q7 I feel confident in being able to fulfill that commitment!  Starting at $46,250.00, the Q7 is Audi’s large SUV, boasting a NHTSA 5-star crash rating and an IIHS “Top Safety Pick” status.  Seating 7 passengers comfortably, the Q7 TDI clean diesel engine also provides 17 mpg in the city and 25 mpg on the highway.  This efficient fuel alternative helps provide the Q7 with an Ultra-Low Emissions Vehicle certification.  Paired with an eight-speed tiptronic transmission, the Q7 can travel more than 600 miles of highway driving on a single tank.  The Q7 truly provides the power of a V8 with the efficiency of a V6.  The impressive TDI also pumps out an impressive 225hp and 406ft-lbs of torque, meaning you can easily tow up to 6,000lbs.

On the outside, its aggressive stance, paired with Audi’s family of sporty lines, it clearly carries the Audi badge.  It’s extremely cargo-friendly wrap-around liftgate makes loading and unloading a breeze, and allows you to pack appropriately for any adventure.  Audi’s intuitive Servotronic steering system offers the driver and passengers complete piece of mind through the toughest of life’s curves, while the Q7’s adaptive air suspension allows you to adjust ride height and damping settings for optimal on and off-road performance.

Once you step inside of the Q7 you will instantly begin to revel in the impeccably designed lap of luxury.  The Q7 provides the most modern and non-cluttered interior and the flexibility of 28 different interior design configurations.  Overtop, you will experience breath-taking views from the Q7’s three-panel panoramic sunroof with power sunshade.  With a simple touch of the finger, the Audi Q7’s power tailgate opens and closes to a programmable opening height that best suits your needs.  The Q7’s flat-fold rear seats provide a convenient 72.5 cu. ft. of carrying space, and the 12-way adjustable power front seats are heated and contain 4-way power lumbar adjustments and adjustable head restraints for maximum comfort.

Topping it all of is the Q7’s prestigious safety features.  The available Audi side assist monitors the vehicle’s rear and side blindspots, warning the driver of any vehicles in the monitored zones with LED warning lights in the side mirrors, which then begin to flash if a turn-signal is activated while a car is in the warning zone.  The optional Audi adaptive cruise control utilizes advanced radar sensors to detect distance to vehicles ahead, and maintains a driver-selected safe distance, which can even bring the vehicle to a complete stop.
