A few of the most effective ways to increase the fuel efficiency of a car include maintaining proper tire pressure and cleaning air filters on a consistent basis. By filling tires to the proper pressure range, drivers can increase their fuel economy by an average of 3%. Cleaning air filters helps boost fuel efficiency by 6% and up to as much as 14% if they are extremely dirty or clogged.
The gas mileage service clinic will be held at Mercedes-Benz of Chandler located on Ray Road and the I-10. It runs Friday and Saturday from 8am to 4pm. Participants will have access to special package pricing for their services. For just $54.94 they can purchase a full maintenance package including lube, oil, filter clean, tire rotation and air pressure check, complete vehicle inspection, and diagnostic report. A service package like this normally costs $149.95. The price drops to $18.95 when participants test drive any car during the event. Attendees will also have the opportunity to save 10-15% on service or repairs performed during the clinic.
