The 2011 Mercedes-Benz E-Class is a Safety Leader for Phoenix Drivers

2011 Mercedes-Benz E-classFor the past 60 years, the Mercedes-Benz E-Class has been an industry leader in implementing innovative safety designs and features, and today’s latest models are no exception. Whether you drive the sedan, coupe, convertible, or wagon, you can ride comfortably knowing your safety is in good hands. In addition to the standard safety elements of past years, Mercedes-Benz has added three new innovative safety features to the 2011 E-Class to bring even more stability and control to the driver to help prevent a disaster before it happens. With intuitive systems that protect passengers on busy, dark, or rural Arizona roads, the Mercedes-Benz E-Class is a smart choice for any Phoenix driver.

Standards of Safety

The Mercedes-Benz E-class has a long history of implementing the newest and smartest safety features in the market and the 2011 models are no different. Each car comes standard with components like high strength steel reinforcements in strategic locations on the car frame to protect passengers from critical angles. In addition to a reinforced frame, there are 11 airbags positioned throughout the cabin to protect riders in the event of a collision. The Mercedes-Benz E-Class also features an adaptive system called PRE-SAFE that monitors vehicle stability and movement to predict impending disasters such as collisions or roll-overs. In response to these indicators, the system can tighten the driver’s seatbelt, adjust seat position, and close the windows and sunroof to better protect everyone inside.

Attention Assist

In addition to these safety standards, Mercedes-Benz has equipped new 2011 models with an innovative program called Attention Assist. This system monitors over 70 different indicators from the driver and car to help monitor when the driver may be drowsy or distracted. In those cases, the car alerts the driver with a warning alarm and visual signal. Imagine driving down a dark Arizona highway late at night after long day at work. As you begin to doze off, your body might jerk the steering wheel ever so slightly while your speed decreases slowly, and the Attention Assist program will recognize these changes and alert you.

Adaptive High Beams

Another intuitive design that has been included in the new Mercedes-Benz 2011 E-Class is the adaptive high beams. The system constantly monitors the light levels surrounding the car and adapts the high beams for different situations. For instance, if you are driving down a rural road in north Phoenix, your high beams will be at full power until another car approaches. When it does, the high beams sense the oncoming headlights and automatically dim and lower until the car passes. At that point, they raise and brighten again for optimal visibility.

Intelligent Traction and Suspension

The third great new feature found on the 2011 E-Class models is the intelligent traction and suspension systems. Mercedes-Benz has developed an innovative suspension that automatically adjusts to different environments to ensure the passengers have a smooth, comfortable experience, no matter the road. Combined with an intuitive traction system that offers more control and stability for the driver, the Mercedes-Benz E-Class is more comfortable and stable than ever before.
