For Thrilling High End Punch- We Give you the 2012 BMW 650i Convertible

For those who desire a unique arrangement of
confident performance, distinctive style and state of the art electronics, we introduce the 2012 BMW 650i Convertible.

The 2010 BMW 6 Series has gone above and beyond the call of duty with the addition of the much-improved new iDrive system to its design to increase its prestige.

The BMW 650i Coupe and Convertible have been equipped with the latest version of BMW's iDrive software and a hard-drive-based navigation system with 13 gigabytes of multimedia storage. Additionally, the automatic transmission now come standard and the six-speed manual an extra-cost option.

A distinguishing ducktail trunk and lidded headlights help make the 6 Series one of the most identifiable vehicles on the road. We've had few complaints about BMW's flagship GT over the years, and after installing the much-improved fourth-generation iDrive system the 2010 BMW has appeased the minds of the masses.

The rear-wheel-drive 2010 BMW 650i is charged with a 4.8-liter V8 good for 360 horsepower and 360 pound-feet of torque. The standard transmission is a six-speed automatic with manual shift control, with the option of a six-speed manual. In performance testing, we've timed a 650i Coupe from zero to 60 mph in 5.6 seconds. Fuel economy with the automatic is an EPA-estimated 15 mpg city/23 mpg highway and 18 mpg combined. With the manual you can expect the highway number to drop by 1 mpg on coupes, and the overall numbers to 14/21/16 on convertibles.

As mentioned, the real deal sweetener this year is on the iDrive front, where BMW has gone back to the drawing board and given a serious makeover to the electronics. As a result you will experience a system that's rather intuitive, largely due to the addition of numerous controller-adjacent physical buttons for frequently used functions (stereo, navigation, telephone) and redesigned menus that are arranged more logically. Additionally, the navigation system is now hard-drive-based, offering 13 gigabytes of multimedia storage and real-time traffic information. It has been a six year journey of production, but the 6 Series now boasts industry-standard cabin technology in addition to its other merits.

As always, these merits are fruitful, starting with the smooth 4.8-liter V8 motivating the 650i (the only available 6 Series model). A manual transmission is still available for those who desire. Extra credit is scored in the 6 Series with a choice of coupe and convertible body styles, a trick soft top with an independent power glass rear window on the convertible and outstanding ride and handling attributes.

The 2010 BMW 6 Series is a luxury coupe offering an enthralling recipe of confident performance, a cosseting cabin, unique style and state of the art electronics.
